    Description

    Item for sale is a SINGLE antique West-Friesland Speed Skate ice skate.  Leather straps, wood base and steel blade.  Blade is marked J. G. Walter, a manufacturer that was based in
    Remscheid, Germany.  According to the Virtual Ice Skate museum, this model was designed for ice skate speed racers in West-Friesland, Netherlands and produced around 1910.  Unfortunately, I have no idea where the matching skate ended up.  Wood base and steel blade are in very good condition for age.  Leather straps are cracking and brittle.  Please see pictures for details.
