The Ikshvaku (also known as the Andhra Ikshvakus or Ikshvakus of Vijayapuri) ruled in the Eastern Krishna River Valley in India in the 3rd & 4th centuries AD.  The dynasty was founded by Vasisthiputr Chamtamula 210-250 (all estimated dates) who rose to power after the decline of the Satavahanas. He was followed by 3 other kings: Virapurushadatta 250-275, Ehuvala 275-300 and Rudrapurushadatta 300-325, but the coins they struck offer no clues as to which king (or kings) struck the coins.  The Dynasty came to an end at the hands of the Pallavas.
