Phenicia, Tire. 126/5 BC - 65/6 AD AR Shekel (28 mm, 12.93 g).
From 118 BC (9/8 BC) Bust Melkart on the right / eagle,
standing on the left on the nose; palm branch behind; on the left,
PIH (date) above the club; to the right, KP above the monogram; with the monogram of variant K,
the Phoenician letter between the legs seems to have been a letter, but cannot be definitively said.
This same coin was used in Jerusalem throughout the life of Christ,
as well as the lives of the disciples.
