Vintage World War II Era OD Olive Drab Wool Felt Small Army Beret Looks English

Attribution to the best of my ability. I believe this to be a British military beret of the time of the Second World War. It might have been worn by some American GI but it I think it is British. The style and manufacture are of an extremely common nature, the only problem is finding one in your size that looks good. This has evaded all attempts from hungry insects and the leather bottom band is supple. There are holes from where a crest was attached, of course to remedy that you just put another crest on, this however does not come with one. There is minor wear in places but nowhere is it worn through.
There is no size tag or marking and as best I can measure it should be about a 6 3/4. Ideal for display or collection, if you intend to wear it please allow some margin of error for size.
